Thanks to the enthusiasm of our community, Seed is a place we can all be proud of, and one we are excited to continue to build upon. Let’s continue to grow together, all knowledge and skill levels welcome.

We have two types of volunteers at Seed - 'Community Helpers' and 'Registered Volunteers'.

Community Helpers

Community Helpers are causal volunteers who are welcome anytime at our regular Gardening Days, Propagation Group sessions and some others activities. There is no obligation to commit to regular sessions or time but you still get the benefit of giving back to the community, helping Seed with our key activities, and connecting with others for learning or fun. Join as a member to get activity reminders, follow our Facebook page, or keep and eye on our notice board for these opportunities as they come up.

Registered Volunteers

Registered Volunteers represent the garden will be need to have or be eligible for a Working With Children Check (WWCC). These are free for volunteers and we can help you with this process if you would like. This type of volunteer are assigned more independent roles related to caring for our chickens, watering tasks, coordinating events, supporting community helpers or school incursions, among other things.
